Dissolving
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal and Belotero can be dissolved using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. This enzyme naturally occurs in our skin but can be injected at higher concentrations in order to rapidly remove the unwanted filler.
Hyaluronidase starts working immediately, once injected into an area of unwanted hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Initially, the treatment area may feel a little swollen for a few hours. Possibly red, slightly tender, or warm. Although it starts working immediately visible results from hyaluronidase treatment will take 2-3 days to show.
If you had a previous treatment performed elsewhere and feel your results are unsatisfactory, or you feel you may have filler migration, then it is time to remove them.
